Hi, I’m Katie, and welcome to Katie Conley Art!

I’m an artist, illustrator, and surface designer with a deep love for color, symbolism, and creating artwork that sparks joy and connection. With a background in fine art, fashion design, and surface design, I bring a vibrant, multi-layered perspective to everything I create. Through art licensing, illustration, and creative collaborations, I transform ideas into joyful, meaningful visuals designed to brighten everyday life.

My creative journey began while earning my Fine Arts degree, where I explored painting, ceramics, drawing, mixed media, and more before spending six months studying art history throughout Europe. Those experiences sparked a lifelong love of storytelling, symbolism, and creating artwork with intention.

That path eventually led me to New York City, where I studied Fashion Design and Illustration at Parsons School of Design. I later co-founded a clothing and accessory brand that sold in more than 100 boutiques nationwide, with additional partnerships in department stores like Macy’s and private-label manufacturing. That experience gave me firsthand knowledge of product development, merchandising, manufacturing, retail, and what makes consumers connect with a product.

When I discovered surface design, everything clicked.

It became the perfect intersection of the soul of fine art, the structure of fashion, and the whimsy of illustration.

Today, I create colorful, thoughtfully designed collections that translate seamlessly across wallpaper, stationery, home décor, giftware, fabric, children’s products, and lifestyle goods. Through art licensing, illustration, and creative collaborations, my goal is to create artwork that celebrates connection, inspires happiness, and brings a little more beauty to everyday life. I hope every design tells a story and helps make ordinary moments feel a little more joyful.
