Hi, I’m Katie Conley—welcome to my cheerful brand, Katie Conley Art!

I’m an artist, illustrator, and surface designer with a deep love for color, symbolism, and heartfelt design. With a background rooted in fine art, fashion, and surface design, I bring a vibrant, multi-layered perspective to everything I create. I specialize in art licensing, content creation, and creative direction—transforming ideas into joyful, meaningful visuals that radiate connection and intention.

A Little More Background

I earned my BFA in Fine Arts from Wittenberg University, where I learned to sketch nudes, took up painting, created 3D sculptures, and studied abroad throughout Europe—soaking in as much rich art history as I could. I then moved to New York City and studied fashion design and illustration at Parsons School of Design, where I received my AA in Fashion Design. After interning and working for several designers in NYC, that path led me to co-build my own clothing and accessory line, which grew to 100+ wholesale boutiques—selling to department stores, private labels, and even gaining a celebrity stylist following. Later, I transitioned into freelance graphic design and social media content creation, which led to illustrating digital designs and repeat patterns for greeting cards, wrapping paper, and pillows opening the door to surface design. When I discovered surface design, it felt like a magical connection—a place where everything I had learned and loved creatively finally came together. It blends the soul of fine art, the structure of fashion, and the storytelling of illustration into something that feels completely, authentically me.

On A More Personal Note

I live in Edgewood, Kentucky with my amazing husband, Chris, our two sweet kids, Chloe + Johnny, and our beloved pets, Teddy + Eddy. I feel incredibly grateful to be here and I work hard everyday to be as positive and as optimistic as I can be.
